Vintage obi clutch - cloudy sky

Gorgeous, richly-woven clutch purse made from vintage Japanese obi silk. This clutch features:

• antique bronze colour purse frame with clasp
  
• blue and gold silk lining (from a vintage kimono)
• optional shoulder strap
• beautiful, woven Japanese cloudy sky design with pale gold and silver metallic threads.

This lovely clutch purse is the perfect size for a few essentials and a night on the town. Can be used with or without the strap.

Comes with a calico bag for storage.

The nature of vintage materials

While we select our vintage materials very carefully, sometimes there may be a few small marks – or in the case of woven or embroidered fabrics, a little fraying or loose threads here and there. This is the nature of working with vintage materials and is to be expected – but it doesn’t diminish their beauty or utility. Our products are robust and user-tested to make sure they function as expected.

How to care for your bag/purse

When  not in use, we recommend storing your item in the calico bag provided. This should help keep the clutch dust-free and in the best possible condition.

Try to keep your clutch dry (as silk really doesn’t like getting wet) and store out of direct sunlight (as this can cause fading). We also do not recommend washing or dry cleaning our bags and clutches, as this can cause irreversible damage. But with a little care, your clutch should give you years of pleasure.
